Dave:

I saw you on HGTV. Two questions:

1) are all peppers perennials?

2) if I keep them indoors in the winter, do I need to keep them in light & water them like a regular house plant?

Thanks for your help!!!

Sue

Hello Sue:

To answer your questions: yes, all peppers are perennial but they don’t live forever. After a few years they lose vigor and flowering and fruiting slows way down.

To overwinter them indoors, you would need to place the plants in a south-facing window for as much light as possible. Water as you normally would and make sure the plants in well-drained soil.

Hope this helps.
