I heard on the radio in Tennessee that North Carolina has a new crop of the hottest chile peppers, like ten time hotter than the habanero. I’ve looked all over the Internet, can’t find them. Please help.

Don’t believe it. Claims like this are made all the time and a few years ago the ’Carolina Cayenne’ was being touted in this way, like the Indian ’Tezpur’ chile. No chile is hotter than the hottest habanero. Period.
