Hi,
I have been looking to buy the pepper in the article by Blaise Lawrence, "The Portuguese Piri-Piri Expedition." I have been looking for the piri-piri for a couple of years now along with the malagueta pepper. Could you please tell me where I might purchase these seeds?. Your help would be greatly appreciated, I thank you for your time and trouble.

Diane:
You’ve stumped me on the piri-piri seeds but I found the malagueta. There seems to be no source for piri-piri seeds, including Seed Savers Exchange, which has the largest selection of rare chile seeds. An extensive Internet search revealed no sources either. Malagueta seeds are available through Seed Savers Exchange (www.seedsavers.org). You will have to join their organization and receive their Yearbook to order the seeds, so it might be easier to order transplants from www.chileplants.com, the website of Cross Country Nurseries.
