I’m a police officer and I was wondering if they use the ’Chocolate Habanero’ pepper for pepper spray, and if it is the same as oleoresin capsicum. Thank you.

Oleoresin capsicum can be made from any hot chile and is usually made from foreign chile sold in bulk, like cayenne or African bird’s eye. It could be made from ’Chocolate Habanero’ or other habaneros, but the ’Chocolate Hab’ is not grown in enough commercial quantity for that.
