Q: Dear Dave,
I was wondering if there such a thing as a red habanero chile pepper plant species that has smooth leaves, versus the typical wrinkled leaves? I am wondering whether the ’Barbados Hot Pepper’ has wrinkled or smooth leaves?

A: Hello Graeme:
A red habanero without wrinkled leaves would be highly unusual and I’ve never seen one. When I was in Barbados, I examined the habaneros there that are called ’Bonney Peppers’, and the leaves were wrinkled.
