Q: Hello Dave,
I have put some habaneros in bottles of olive oil for myself and a couple of friends, to add a nice hot flavor to the oil for cooking. I bought a bottle from Ass Kicking Olive Oil brand a while ago and it tasted good. Do I have a problem with bacteria, and must I ask for the bottles back and destroy them?

You have made heaven for the bacteria. I would imagine that Ass Kicking Olive Oil has some sort of preservative in it that prevents bacterial growth. Yes, ask for the bottles back and destroy them.
