Hi Dave,
I live in Hawaii, Oahu to be exact. I am growing Super Chili (F-1), a plant I got a Wal-Mart. It has been producing very well but now I am seeing little holes in the leaves. Also, as soon as my chiles turn red, something is chewing or pecking the pods at the stem end. Now that my plant is producing is there a pest spray I can use on it, that won’t harm me? These chiles have a lot of heat probably like a cayenne and I am looking forward to drying them. Will this plant produce all year in our warm climate? Thanks.
Al
Hello Al:
Sprinkle the leaves and pods with Sevin dust. Be sure to wash the pods very well before eating them or cooking with them. Yes, the plant should produce all year long.
