Undersized Jalapenos

Dave,

This is my second year growing jalapenos but they seem to be very small like only an inch long. Is there something I am doing wrong, or is it the type of plant?

Hello Dale:

Nine times out of ten the size of the pod is genetically fixed, so I think it’s the variety you planted.
