Dave:
I have been growing a couple of chili tepin plants from seed. We picked them after that were red and let them air dry. The first year they seemed to be fine. Last year when stored in a jar they grew a mold and were useless. What is the best way to harvest them? How should they be handled after picking? We like to use them dried. Thanks a lot for any info you can provide.

Mary:
I don’t know where you live, but obviously your storage is a problem. Go ahead and pick them red, air dry them, and double-bag them. Then place them in the freezer. No mold there!
